Wow! What a fun place to be.......even in the rain and the wind and the tornados. We didn't actually have a tornado, but a tornado warning. We had to sit up in the bathroom for a little while. It is so beautiful at Itasca. We saw deer, and eagles, got close up to some baby ducks, Kami and Ariana saw a little snake of some kind and loons, don't forget the loons. Pine trees and lady slippers. Sunsets that rival the Hawaiian sunsets. We had a campsite that was close to the lake. It's such a beautiful place. They have lots of bike trails and hiking trails. It sounds like I'm trying to sell the park. Everyone should go to Itasca at least once. Kami and Ariana were very entertaining too. We also had some special visitors.....Shari S. and Kim her new companion. The most exciting part of the trip was when we went out to eat at the Logging Camp and the sky light window lifted up in the wind and crashed down and shattered. Luckily it wasn't the one above our heads.
